01 Xj Fuel Pump Check Valve Question
I dropped the tank and removed the fuel pump. Both strainers are filthy and the inside of the tank is also dirty. Anyway I was messing around with the lovely all-in-one fuel filter/regulator/check valve and I noticed that if I squirt degreaser in the output that it freely flows out of the input. Am I wrong but shouldn't the check valve if working properly stop anything from flowing this way?

I would think so as there should be a one way check valve in there some where.... how ever I have not had the ... joy... of having to replace the fuel pump in my 00 yet.
It was really not that bad. Besides the neverending crap falling in your face and the super long bolts on the straps that my deep sockets couldn't be used on. I am going to cut it open after I get a new one to see whats inside
Oh yeah PB Blaster highly recommended also.

figured as much... I have the factory steel armor for the gas tank so something tells me that it would be a little more "fun" for me. Oh how I love PB Blast. I hope that you didn't have anymore trouble with yours and it's back to running right.
