2 and 3 is usually effected by heat soak.... someone posted a way to make a heat shield somewhere. Earlier xjs already have one.

I had the same problem with #3 on my 01. I bought the heat wrap from my local dealer. Haven't had that error code since. I think it was 5 bucks.
I will try the heat wrap on the injector and new plug and boots. And then resetting the computer. Is there a definitive way to reset the computer or just disconnect the batter and wait about 20 min.

Disconnect positive and negative and hold them together to discharge capacitors. Hook back up turn key to on but do not start and turn tour lights on for 30 seconds. Turn lights off and key off.

Had 3 misfire codes (cylinder 4, 5, and Random misfire). My problem was because I installed Bosch spark plugs, on a 2001 Cherokee. Have read that for some reason Bosch spark plugs cause that problem on jeeps. Replaced them with the Champion plugs, pulled battery to clear engine light and passed Smog Check, misfire codes have not returned. Keep in mind that you will have to drive car a bit for it to go through enough "Trip Cycles" to pass all necessary diagnostics test after resetting ECU or pulling battery to clear engine light. Took 4 days of routine driving around town for my car to be ready, I believe it takes longer if you reset.
