When it works, it works awesome and is the coldest AC I've ever been in. The blower and the AC compressor clutch quit at random random times - sometimes at idle, sometimes at full throttle to merge and sometimes with cruise control on doing 55.
I've been riding around with a multimeter for a week now checking different things. The high and low pressure switches are okay. They have proper voltage even when the compressor cuts out.
When the compressor clutch has cut out, I've jumped it straight from the battery and it will continue to blow cold. I used it in this fashion for around 45 minutes once plus it's worked fine on its own for similar intervals, so it's not a low freon situation.
The compressor clutch relay and blower motor relays I've replaced. The blower fuse is okay. When the blower doesn't work, it doesn't work even on high so I don't think it's the thermal resistor. It could be bad brushes but it's not making any noise or acting up other than just cutting out.
The only thing all of this has in common is the switch in the dash. I ordered a new one to the tune of $140 and it arrived broken. wholesalemopar.com is dicking me around about sending me a new one. I think I'm going to just use Visa to dispute the entire charge and send them back their broken piece of {expletive} and start over on that.
The mechanical stuff on this thing seems pretty bulletproof. It just sucks that Chrysler did a low-bid electronics job on it.
Anybody got any ideas?

I figured out why the blower is being finicky.

This is the plug that goes into the back of the blower motor resistor. I haven't read of anybody else having this problem. Of course, it happens to me.
A previous owner at some point faked a repair on this. I don't think it was the guy I bought the Jeep from. He was a gearhead and did things right. He bought it from a dealer though, and this definitely looks like a short term fix a used car dealer would use.
Speaking of dealers, the MSRP on the little piece of wire this plug is on is $103. I'm going to the junk yard in a day or two.

I have the urge to find previous owners and beat them into a coma whenever i see wire nuts intended for INDOOR use in your home used under the hood. Seriously, crimp connectors or heat shrink tubing is fairly cheap and will last damn near forever and wont cause things to melt and/or catch fire.

Even black tape alone would have been much better.
