Default 00 limited overhead console computer fail

Just had the headliner redone by a local shop and now the mini-computer in the overhead console is stuck on DTE; step button does nothing (actually both buttons don't work, reset (pushing both buttons, etc) doesn't change the screen. Double checked, cleaned the connections. Any ideas? If I need an new mini-computer, anyone know of a repair shop? Thanks.

Take it back to the shop and tell them something isn't right...That's why you paid someone to do it...

I did. This is way over their heads. I'm not sticking them for it unless I learn they did something wrong. The headliner is beautiful, and unplugging and re-plugging the two plugs couldn't have caused it, could it?

Sounds like they might have pinched a wire or drove a screw through something they shouldn't have.

The overhead comes out pretty easy so I would drop it and double check the connectors to it first.
Do your lighted visors work?
Do locks still unlock and lock from the fob?

Yes, lights work and I have taken the console down, checked (and cleaned) the connections. Fob still works the doors.

Default How I fixed an unresponsive display:

Your screen was stuck on, mine was stuck off. The overhead console buttons didn’t allow me to change display modes.
Here is how I fixed the issue:
