Right. I use a 24" extension and a universal and it works fine. Stick some tape in the socket to keep the bolt secure both in and out. And most important (or as important) it's an 11mm socket.

interesting. Bever saw a vid that had the connector at that location. No wonder I couldn't find it....

I plan on replacing the cam sensor too. Not the whole assembly... Cam sensor error came up on the code reader. Thoughts?

Wonder what would happen if you cleaned it up?
"Polish" up the metal in there a little and hose it down with electronic cleaner.

If I change the sensor should I change the whole assembly shaft too. The center part that spins doesnt appear to be loose, sloppy....

Update: Changed the ADS, TPS, Cam Sensor and pulled the connectors on PCM. Everything looked clean when I pulled the connectors, sprayed them down anyway. Still shutoff. I have since replaced the crank sensor. Just haven't had any snow to test it out. I also bought a fuel rail, manifold and injector heat shield kit. I have yet to install. The fuel rail gets so hot you can barely touch it. That isn't good. Deciding if I should wait for snow to test the crank sensor, or install the shields now too. The fuel rail is getting way to hot. Who knows, maybe I'm boiling the fuel... Looks like the rail has to come off when installing this kit. Good time to change the injectors too....6.5.0

Yeah if you bought that DEI kit pretty sure the fuel rail does have to come off.

I wish I knew that kit was around when I did my 4 hole injectors.
I don't appear to have heat soak issues in my '00 but I would have put it on anyway.
Ya know why?
Cause of my "Well while we are here" way of doing things. LOL.
