Default 00 4.0 noise. Need help

I've got a 00 xj 4.0 with 206K. Runs great.a month ago developed a noise.not a tap, or a knock. It runs with rpm. I took off the head and put new lifters in, and found the torque converter bolts loose. Well.... still there. My 96, clearly has bottom end noise. This sounds different. Mind you, she still carries 45 psi oil pressure. And the last 2 mornings it has been 30°, and it's been quiet? Could it be a cracked flex plate that can't be seen without removing? Or wrist pin or piston slap? What would make this noise with rpm,but be quiet when cold?! I'm lost without my jeep!
