I think members who have a modicum of intelligence can communicate proficiently without the use of foul language, or trying to side-step the censors.
So let's remember this is "CF", and remember that also stands for "Child Friendly."

That is not a **** curse word in my book. And we have censors for curse words soooooo. CF doesn't think it is a curse word either.

Part of the definition is a swear or curse word. The question is would you allow/want a 7 year old to use that kind of language? I think not. You have to draw the line somewhere. We all have to abide by the same rules.

True..........................
I have always told my children (which are all grown up know 17,19,20,21)
Cursing is like Barking. Dogs bark but people have the gift of speach. If you bark at me I'm going tie you to the Oak tree out back for the night!

I swear, curse whatever all the time have no probably with it because the words are only bad because people (other than me) decided they were wrong to say. But this is not my forum so I go by their rules if I decide I do not agree I will use another forum. If you come to my house or garage I will be cursing and if you did not like it you could leave. I come here for XJ tech and talk not all the other stuff, you should also.

You don't have my support. Frankly I'm tired of people who run forums saying its a right to post here, and blah blah blah its our dictatorship and if you don't like it leave blah blah.

Without the members you have no forum, remember that.

I like this forum, its pleasant and the people are cool, its just generally a good place.
The forum software has filters, use them. Personally, I type like I'm talking, so the s word comes out here n there. I try not to tell people who suck badly to go f themselves so thats not an issue.

Basically, let the filters do thier job and don't worry about it.

In closing, thanks for the forum, if you dont want your kids to read swear words/ hear swear words. you need to home school them and get rid of the tv. The school bus and other kids are a much bigger problem than a jeep cherokee forum.

edit, and if you feel the need to ban me for this post, delete all my posts and do so.

While I'm all for free speech and all... This is a private forum for posting. You agreed to a set of guidelines (perhaps some revisions is needed), which also could be considered a code of conduct. I don't consider moderation or admins as censors or "dictators", and think everyone generally has a pretty free hand with what they wish to say. This forum is pretty good about the admins keeping a reasonable hand at things and keep mostly in the background. I like that. I have seen far worse...

Obviously, there is a premium membership availabel that has a no holds barred section. I am on another forum that restricts a certain section for just such language and commentary to those that ask and AGREE to very certain terms. Maybe an option. I am also a mod of a VERY private forum where we all know each other, and require votes to allow new members in. Believe me when I say I swing a mean ban hammer. Bans in my club are likely for life.

Perhaps, if you "type like you talk", perhaps you might have a problem. I tend to edit some of my own typing beofre sending. Seeing as you seem offended by the "censors", maybe you are offending others?

And I'm no goody twoshoes here. I'm retired Navy and I have quite the Sailor's vocabulary. Though I am mostly limited to the English language... I have to consider others in my workplace and just the other day apologized to my female co-worker for my "less than articulate language". Although she was giggling every time I dropped the F bomb, probably from delight in my painful frustrations.

So leaving the "children" part of the conversation out, why not converse here in language you would use in the course of a job interview, say with someone you've never met and you are really hoping for big increase in pay?

Just something to think about for those that think they can say what they want...

5-90, I still owe you a DVD...
