Default Linked picture auto resizing?

Is it just me or are pictures in threads that are linked by URL now given as a smaller version but give the option to click to open to full size? It could have happened a while ago and im just now noticing, i'm pretty good about being oblivious. Just wondering if they have been downsized what for? And by who?

You're correct. This went into effect very recently. Without warning or opinion of any sort.

Honestly, I feel like I shouldn't have to click every picture that I want to see full size.

IB's other forum is the same way.

I thought so.. Yeah it is pretty frustrating to have to click every single picture. I guess they're trying to save on bandwidth?

Maybe I'm wrong but I would think the loaded pictures would use more bandwidth than linked photos. Then again, I'm not a IT guru.

Looks like a design decision. Admittedly random 1280x960 pics showing up is kinda the poops. The full picture is actually downloaded, then resized via JavaScript. From a PC you can right click on the image and choose "View Image" (in Firefox, something else in other browsers) and see the real one)
