Just a thought here... I enjoy reading the build threads & seeing progress but hate sifting through pages of blah blah blah to get to the good stuff... On some other forums i've seen people able to edit first posts & add to them. Also, they'll usually save the first 2-3 post spots for later editing in pics & updates.

Is there any reason CF doesn't do this?

(sorry if this has been asked already, im lazy & didnt look)

In the past you could edit your post at any time. Unfortunately a former member got his feelings hurt and deleted all of their posts. The forum lost a lot of valuable tech info that many other members could rely on when working on their XJs. Therefore the site owners and CF staff decided to put a time limit on editing. After 3 days the post becomes permanent and can only be edited by the staff.

Thats pretty lame... Maybe they oughta try it out again & see how it works. Or just lock the Tech articles..

If you want to edit a post. You can PM me what you would want to edit with a link to the thread and a post number.

We will have no problem assisting you.

Some people just like to ruin it for the majority. We may look to add the feature back in the future or extend it for longer than three days.

I wouldn't want someone to be able to edit my post I can look dumb just fine all by myself,you can go look dumb on your own post.
