I got a PM from another member and their profile/ forum usage shows they have "0" posts but the PM they sent me makes it seem they are replying to something I sent them about an old Sale ad. When I then go further into their profile and click the "Find all posts by ____" it shows they did indeed make 3 reply posts in one of my old threads. Since the old For Sale area got shut down did the posts one made in them technically "disappear" and get taken off ones post total?

 

while that does seem like proof that they dissapear
im gonna say they dont

because i just recently reached 500.
and i know that ive made more then 24 posts in the old for sale section.

posts in the for sale section do not count towards your post count.

 

Yes I remember seeing that but was not sure if that was retroactive and it went back and erased posts in sale threads from the past.

 

as far as I know it's not. But it went into effect before the for sale area changes, so some of the posts in the old section would have been affected
