I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way...first I would like to state, that I have fallen in love with this site and many of the members on here..you guys totally rock and kick butt...Muah.

I know that there was an attempt to put a chat on here. I was wondering/thinking if anyone thought about doing an add on chat? I'm a member of another site(not a Jeep one) and they have an add on chat. There are many different ones to choose from. If it is decided on to do an add on chat, you can create different chat rooms such as rooms for Tech questions, general lobby areas and for those of us who might want to have an adult conversation with some not so favorable words, make a chat room that is only accessible after a certain time and that you would need to ask a mod or admin for the password, that can validate that you are over the age of 18...because lets all be honest here...sometimes certain words might come out that certain members shouldn't see. I know that this site is very family friendly which is an amazing thing..but sometime we have those hard days were the F-word might come out..despite our efforts to keep it in.

The add on chat on the other site is on the home page..as soon as you sign into this site, you can see who else is chatting and in what rooms and if there are any mods or admins in there. If you choose to go in and chat, all you do just click on it.They also have what we like to call "ghosts" which are people that are trusted to ensure that the rules and regs of this site are being up held. If they aren't they can "boot" that person from the chat for the night.

It's only a suggestion and if you need any more info about the add on chats, I would be more then willing to help. I also want to apologize if I have stepped on any toes by talking about this...It just seems to be a P.I.T.A. to always have to do private messages to stay in contact and have a conversation with someone.

 

they added a chat to a favorite local forum and what loss to the forum. so many people started putting their thoughts on the chat that we lost threads in the topic areas

 

i kinda agree with superj because important answers could be lost for future unless they logged them which would be insane lol but just a generic chat room for people to say hey and stuff like that would be a good idea, but it seems like it would be to easy to get off track.. idk if i am making sense but thats my opinion if you understand lol.
