He always had kind words, no matter the situation. If you put something on the homebrew forum, if everyone else said negative remarks. Brian asked for directions on how to build.

I know im bringing this up again but i just wish i had really gotten into the forum enough to get to know Brian. I had just kind of got started here but unfortunately i never got to know him. 3 weeks ago from Friday i lost a great friend named Chris after he committed suicide. He was the brother of one of my best friends and i really enjoyed getting to know him over the past few years before he passed. Im a senior in high school and i know the thoughts that this has brought on will always stay with my friend as he reflects on his senior year and the holiday season that had just passed. The whole situation has really hit me hard because i read the note he left behind and everything that it said in it and the way he was at peace with himself and this was the decision that he wanted to make. The worst part was it was dated the note on September 28th, 2011 and he passed on January 6th, 2012. Knowing that every time i saw him that he was carrying this around and that i felt like those were some of the best times that we had spent together really hurts me. My friends family has taken it very rough and the incredible support of the community to them has been truly awesome as his dad was a firefighter and his mom worked at the hospital. I know that the same type of love and support exists here on CF for Brian and im sure that his family would love to know of every thing that people here on the forum have done in honor of him. The reason im writing this today is that when i got to school my friend Matt was really upset because he had had a dream about his brother and he couldn't get it out of his head knowing that every time that we hung our or did anything his brother Chris was always there too and it made me think of when we lost Brian and how everyone came together to give support.

Thanks guys,
Will

Brian, thank you for all you gave. You will be greatly missed.
One of the best moderators I have ever met in my life.

As a former moderator I got to know Brian well, that guy had a way of really cracking me up. I was honestly thinking about him the other day because I will be in his area next month, was going to look him up.

To be honest, I stopped reading after 2 or 3 pages, it's such a shock and I read just enough to make sure it wasn't a mistake or a prank. Brian's death has left a void here, with his family, with his friends, and to the world as a whole that will never be filled.

We all have our demon's to battle, and sadly sometimes they win. I'm sure he is kicking back with a beer, working on a Jeep, and I will take comfort in the assumption that whatever demon's haunted him have been laid to rest.

Rest in peace friend, enjoy the great weather and off roading up there, I'll see ya someday and live it up.

I'm in shock. I leave the forum for 6 months, and I come back to such a tragedy... I remember looking at and reading his build thread over and over again, because I was so compelled by his ingenuity, and thought one day I'll have a xj as cool as his.

RIP Buddy, you will be missed
