Default trails on Long Island?

anyone know of any trails on Long Island? I just purchased a 1993 Cherokee and really am looking looking for some fun with her

the only thing I know of locally are the beaches. I moved off the Island over 10 years ago, so not sure how they are now. Smith's point, Montauk, Jones beach; permits required. For anything else you need to get off the Island. Rausch Creek in Pennsylvania will probably be the closest to you.

If you want to risk getting caught by DEC or Suffolk cops on quads theres tons of places to go. I think its against the rules to talk about illegal places so I won't but I've had some fine just taking random trails off of the road. Use google maps to find places.
