Yesterday we headed out to do Rainbow Terrace which is another one of the maze of trails just outside Canyonlands NP. I actually thought this trail was going to be to easy but there were a couple sections that lived up to the moderate rating that made it fun and of coarse the nice views that are always around here.
Looking north towards the Bookcliffs

The start of the trail just past Tombstone Rock

As always wide open spaces

Looking towards Green River with Rainbow Rocks on both sides

Looking across and down the terrace

Some cool looking rocks

Climbing the hardest climb on the trail. Not very hard but fun

Another ledge

Another huge valley

A few cool looking buttes

After we finished Rainbow Terrace we went to check out some nearby sand dunes and have lunch

Lunchtime

Some pics of playin in the sand

We then headed off to an easy trail called Bartlett Wash

We took another easy trail on a little side trip into the bottom of Hidden Canyon which some of you may remember from my other TR from Hidden Canyon Overlook.

After messing around on the maze of side roads at the end of the canyon we headed back out to Bartlett Wash. Looking back down Bartlett Wash towards Canyonlands Field.

Again the forecast was 60% chance of showers lol It was a nice day of mellow wheelin plus we knocked off another 3 trails in Charles A Well's book
