We had a good day with a little carnage thrown in for spice. There was a total of 9 vehicles on the ride, 3 XJs, 1 MJ, 3 Wranglers, 1 CJ, and a Toyota truggy. The main trail is easy to moderate with a few decent obstacles along the way. A 3 inch lift and 30s could make it through with little effort. There are secondary trails with more challenging obstacles along the way. I am completely surprised what I was able to get through with open diffs, but will be investing in a locker soon to make my vehicle more capable.

Bigomudders with a broken axle shaft. Got him winched to the top of the hill for the field repair.

The MJ climbing the same hill.

The hill that claimed bigomudders axle. He's mad because I made it up with open diffs.

Me and bigomudders back on the trail after his axle repair.

Ha, he didn't have a spare shaft. We were fortunate to be riding with a great group of guys who wheel together on a regular basis. Everyone helps everyone else no matter what the breakdown is. Even though this was the first ride with them for Bigomudders and myself, they treated us like old friends. The spare shaft was a junkyard beater with some bad splines, but it was given to Bigomudders as a means to get him rolling again.
