Default early Spring Moab trip

We just got back from Moab and figured I'd post a few pics... The 1st pic is looking down from the road to Gemini Bridges. The 2nd is looking down into Bull canyon from the top of Gemini Bridges.

Default Bull Canyon and Gemini Bridges

Here's a couple more pics. The lower picture was taken in Bull Canyon. The trail lead to the bottom of Gemini Bridges. The upper picture is of the twin arches known as Gemini Bridges. Last time I was here, you could drive your rig across the top of at least one of the arches. Now you have to walk in a little ways to see them. Both Bull Canyon and Gemini Bridge trails can be done with a stock vehicle. Very Scenic though!!

Default Moab- Rose Garden Hill

I think they should rename this hill Rock Garden!

I never saw a rose bush anywhere, but there were plenty of big boulders growing out of the dirt! I even had to rearrange the rocks in a few spots, as they seemed to congregate in places that left me with tires hopelessly spinning in the air (even with the locker engaged).

Default $6.00 gas.....but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

I bought a few gallons of $6.00 gas to top off my tank before going over Elephant Hill in Canyonlands National Park. I'm not gonna complain about $4.00 gas ever again!!

The other pic is the trail up elephant hill.....

I'm starting to get the "Moab Fever" again. I just made hotel reservations for the latter part of March.

Now i just need to finish some updates and repairs to the rig ....

My girl and I are signed up for a couple runs during Jeep Safari in April, and we're planning on heading back down Memorial Day weekend. After that maybe another trip, but yeah I got the Moab itch baaaad right now

Default Moab Bound

The jeep's running good and we're taking off tomorrow.

As for the Easter Safari, I enjoy the action around town, but don't care much for the runs.

The pace is too slow for me. Also hate the jacked up hotel rates and long waits at restaurants. If this is your 1st safari though, you'll have a good time!

Default More Moab "Steel bender" pics..

The trail is just outside of Moab, and has interesting/challenging terrain and plenty of awesome scenery.

Default moab pics from Steelbender

I have a great time every trip down there.... even when I break something!

I tore the ears off my driveshaft on Poison Spider Mesa this time.... but it just gives me another reason to go down there, so I can try out my new custom driveshaft!

Nice pics. I really want to get up there with the Jeep sometime. I've been "through" there a few times, but just passing through on the highway. Need to take the XJ and spend a few days. Looks like a blast.
