Crown King is one of the Funnest trails i've ever been on. little nerve racking at due to some of the drop offs but what a wild ride.

my buddies an i used to camp on the left of the trail just before you get back onto a "real" road and get up to the saloon. great flex on your ride in a few pics. what PSI were you running in your tires. Any trail carnage.

I was at 12, no carnage thankfully. The second half of the trail that is on Forest land has been graded pretty good recently so the trail isn't quite what it used to be, but still plenty of fun.

Those pictures are really depressing. We went a couple years ago when Hogjaw was playing at the saloon. Now I'm just stuck with mud after moving back to Michigan. It's one of my favorite trails because of all the ledges you ride along. I'd have to say it's more fun than some of the Moab trails. What do you guys have for lift and tire size?

hmmm, i can't even picture where this might be. The trail has changed so much in the last year or so, the FS really did a number on the 2nd half of this thing. It had been over 4 years since I did it last. The only hairpin I remember was at the bottom of the last two hills when you crossed the creek at the old town site. This isn't even like it used to be. You can see all the rocks that used to be part of the trail moved, and piled up off to the side. Also, the last climb of the trail that is in the pine trees is the same way, smoothed out like a road with all the rocks just bulldozed to the side.

I run 3.5" with 32s, and the red cherokee is the same lift, I beleive his tires to be almost as tall.

Hey Craig, I just found this thread. Thanks for posting up!

Yes, mine's a 3.5" lift with a 3/4" front spacer and 1" lift shackles in back. Tires are 265/75-16's which are about 32's, just narrower than CW's white XJ.
