hey guys i am looking for a 4.0 that needs rebuilt so i can build me a stroker
before mine goes south
(low compression and ready to be put out)

now cheap is great but distance is also important i live in northern alabama and am not looking for a mean ready to run engine since i have a all the parts to do my stroker build but only 1 vehicle which means little down time and swapping is better

mileage of motor is not important (as long as i can bore it )
grease grime and other stuff on it no biggie
the year would be 1990 (which is what i have ) but would like a 1993-1996 (not a big thing )
again i would like to spend as little money just like any one else

but to be honest the machine shop was grinning when i mentioned this to him

I just got a 96 w/234 K. Im in NC. $350 for engine and accessories.
Also have a Renix long block for $ 125.

96 is running, you can hear and see it.

88 is just a block and head still together that I pulled from an old truck. Seems fine, missing one freeze out plug though.

I still checking on the 96 to see if i can get all the stuff to swap in my 90 but the price of the renix is the price i want to spend but your like 8 hours away so i have to justify the trip cost too

came out of a 87.. had a knock when it was taken out but it still ran... its been out of the jeep for a few years.... 100$ and its in des moines iowa...
