I am looking for an entry level XJ with no major running issues or major body damage (dents and dings I don't care...it's a Jeep). I have to leave my XJ here on the mainland and I REALLY don't want to drive anything else!! I just need it to run reliably, anything else is a bonus. I have some basic mechanical skills so, I might be able to fix up minor issues (starter, sure, blown timing chain hell no). I had plans to turn mine here into a nice crawler this year, but got the work transfer of a lifetime to Kailua, HI. I am looking for one in the $1k range (give or take a couple hundred).

Please let me know if you or anyone you know has an XJ (I know this is sacrilege, but I'll even consider a TJ or similar) that they want gone around the end of February this year!
