Jeep Cherokee XJ 4x4 1996-2001
 

Looking to buy another Jeep cherokee xj. Located in central iowa. Here is my criteria.

4x4
Under 300,000 miles
No more than $4000
Preferably a 4 dr since I have a 2 dr already. Will consider a 2 dr though.
Solid floors and frame (If rockers are rotted that is fine)
Stock or lifted.
Prefer no power windows, locks, etc.
No 1997's I heard they had wiring harness issues.
Prefer grey interior
If it has mechanical issues such as needs engine, trans, etc I am ok with this. No electrical issues though. I stay away from electrical because I am color blind.

I would drive 2-3 hrs depending on condition and all that stuff.

If we were a little closer I could probably hook you up. I've got a white '99 4d 4wd auto with 160k. Not lifted, leather heated seats, new headliner, manual windows and locks, Icon 16" rims, crappy tires, NO RUST SOUTHERN JEEP. If you are coming closer to Alabama let me know.

That would be a good fit. Thats a bit to far lol.

Yep i have been looking. Found one im gonna go buy tomorrow. 2000 no rust $1150.00. Just gonna need a new tranny inthe near future.

Well the seller backed out. Im still looking for one.

I had someone drive from Colorado for an 01 amber fire pearl XJ I sold. Seems nuts but worth a try! GLWS.

Well I guess if it was nice enough and a good deal I may consider the drive.

I have a red 99 with aprox 167k 4dr 4wd that I just got and was going to flip it, I was goin to list it at 4k and bargin from there. Has the 8.25 with limited slip power locks, windows, keyless entry. Was goin to throw a jy lift, 784 inj, disc brakes, gm mirror upgrade, and durango mc, has some soft 8 15x7 wheels eh, but found a set of ravines that would look better. It was a tow behind still has the rv plate in the front so actual driven mileage is unknown.

Also have a white 98 2dr 2wd with 86k plain jane with moab rims, headlight harness and tow hooks for 3500.
