Do they need to be in good working order or have you decided to improve on them to add to your list of Jeep parts you manufacture? LOL.

 

Both of them are broken on my MJ causing the welds on the hinges to crack.

I'm going to re-weld the hinges on but I ll need to replace the checks

 

Did you determine if they're the same as late model ones?

 

OK. If you were doing what I thought I would give you the two fronts I my '00 that I replaced.

 

So you have some available?

 

If not, I will here pretty soon if the 97 checks are the same? I will be parting out the roll over body as soon as I find another one to put this engine into.

 

If you are asking me no. They are shot. Well driver's side is. Passenger side not so bad. Actually thought it was alright until I did the driver's side and so how smooth they were supposed to be. Then I replaced the passenger one. I got it in my head that you were on another "Lets improve Jeep parts" kick and that you just wanted to do so. You have improved so many Jeep parts already.

 

Late models were a better design. Pretty sure they can be used on older models, but not positive.
