I am under the impression that there is no such thing as a 3.73 XJ 8.25 rear.
Unless somebody regeared it.
I think you can find them in Grand Cherokees and Liberties but they would not be a straight bolt in.

I heard they were more common in the 80s XJs,
but have read about a very few rare sightings of them in the 90s and even 00-01 XJs,, very rare sightings.

Maybe one with a tow package from way back when.
Thing is I think anything before '96 will be a 27 spline one.
And most guys want the 29 spline one which I think is '96 and up.
