In my experience with Cherokees, I have found that they are too light in the rear ends, causing them to sometimes spin out in heavy braking on wet or slippery pavement. I solved this problem with a DrawTite 2" square receiver hitch that I filled with lead. It improved the overall balance of the vehicle. I have this hitch, and it's for sale if anyone is interested in it. It must weigh over 100 pounds, so local pickup from central New Jersey 08844 is required.
