Sets of 6 #703 Neon Fuel Injectors (Plus others)
Hey I bought a set of 703's off another fella on here you seem to know a lot about the injectors, do they need to have that little plastic thing in front of the o-ring on the end that goes in the manifold? The ones I got were all broke so I took em off?

Hello. Well even broken/cracked ones beat none so I probably would have just went with them. On this type of injector the pintle caps really don't have anything to do with the spray pattern etc so they arent overly important for the reason. Basically on an injector like a 703 all they are doing is holding the o-ring on and shielding them from the hot exhaust blow-back of the combustion chamber. If you do decide to put some on you'll need to heat or soak them first so they go on easier since those plastic caps can crack and break easily otherwise.

If you have a '98 the vast majority of the time you'll need the 703 "Neon" injectors. They changed things later in the model year on '98's so it's possible you might have the newer EV-6 plugs and need the 784 Neons ones. But that`s very rare. I think I've only ever seen 2 98's with the new plugs. Send me a PM for price and additional info.
what exactly does the "newer neon injectors" do? i have a 90 xj that im doing a motor swap in but all the renix stuff is deleted aside from the module and i wana do a few quick mods while the motors out

The main reasons for the injector upgrade is because stock injectors just have a single port and the upgrade ones have 4-ports. This allows the fuel to be delivered in a more atomized fashion which gives a smoother idle, quicker start and better acceleration and throttle response.

Been about a month since install. Did these 784s, new fuel and a cowl snorkel all at same time. I now get 17-18 mpg with 4" lift and 31s. But yesterday after weekend muddingI had a misfire in #4, would that be more plug then injector ? Thanks and keep up the good work.
