Do you have the brackets that the mirrors connect to? They are the brackets that hold the 2 metal rods so the mirror doesnt flop around.

how many miles on the starter and was it working good when you took it out

 

no idea on miles. i bought the jeep it came out of for body parts. motor was already pulled and used in another jeep...but they didn't take the accessories for the motor. owner told me it was a good running jeep. it does look to be a replacement unit to me due to the tags on it. to my knowledge its in good working order
