Quick question: What are you guys using CB's for? Im in Northern Maine, and when I was a kid growing up we used them to talk to each other in our vehicles like we do cell phones now, when we were out hunting, fishing, etc. What is the purpose of a CB today with cell phones? There are places where I travel and cant get cell phone reception, is this their only use?

You can talk to people with CBs like you said. Most truckers on the freeway still use CBs for talking. Good for following in a convoy with other rigs. If everyone has a CB you can talk with each other. Good for going on trails to relay information since some trails Ive been on has no cellphone reception and its just easier.

A cb is alot easyer to use on the trail then a cell just push a button and talk, its annoying to keep having to call ur buddy who is behind u just to say.. Hey watch out for that rock... max range u would need is just a couple miles

The Jeep club I belong to REQUIRES a CB in your Jeep for trail rides.

Makes things go so much easier when you have 10+ rigs on a trail ride, especially when there is a recovery going on and the guys in the back are wondering why everyone is stopped and stuff like that.

No problem, just add about $4 to total same thing accomplished, whole reason for gifting is to avoid fees, not screw buyers
