Gentlemen, I've decided to get something a little more sporty. She is a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4.0l automatic with around 177k miles. The engine/drivetrain are extremely reliable and have never let me down. 4wd works great! I drive this jeep everyday 40 miles to and from work. Very reliable.

new:
Radiator
Water pump
lower radiator hose
front caliper (passenger side)
Goodyear Wrangler Tires (4)
Windshield

Replaced/fixed:
NSS
intermittent dash

Needs to get fixed:
Leak in exhaust (throws P0138 Code because of this).
Airbag light comes on in colder weather.
Hood latch (in cabin) broke. This means that you have to use a vise grip to pull on the cable and pop the hood (vise grips included with the sale of the jeep ).

UPDATE: replacing the NSS this weekend.

 

Got it washed today, and she is looking clean!!

 

I gotta ask what is with the lock on the transmission shifter?? Or does there just happen to be a lock hanging off it?

 

That's my gym lock . I don't ways take my gym bag with me to work, but I ALWAYS take my Jeep to the gym. This way, I never leave it at home.

 

NSS was replaced today. Check Engine Light is gone.

all of the electrical systems working ? windows locks etc.

any gauge gremlins ?

engine surging or bucking?

the picts show the front driver tire looks a little more worn on the outside, is it pulling to the right or left ?
frant end ever been rebuilt ?

 

Electrical:
The window switches on all the doors other than the driver's door, work intermittently (the driverside door always works).

The gauge cluster sometimes looses connection (usually a tap on the glass, and everything comes back up.


There is no engine surging or bucking. The jeep drives very straight, does not pull to any side. AS far as I know the front end has never been rebuilt.
