SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
No longer a feeler.....looking to sell the Jeep outright. Don't want to sell it considering all the money I've spent on it the past 12 months, but I have to in order to get a better commuter car. No longer selling to fund a project.....priorities have taken over fun cars.
Basics:
- 96 XJ, 4 door, 5 spd manual, I6
- 147K miles
- Power windows, locks
- Cold AC
- All electrics works, no issues
- Has alarm (keyless entry, starter kill, motion sensor)
- 2 sets of wheels (stock with like-new Dunlop Rovers and Cragar Soft 8's with 275-60-15 BFG Radial T/A's)
Owned it since July 2010. Since then I've done the following (LONG list):
- Serviced diffs with Lucas oil
- New clutch kit (6/1/11)
- Serviced t-case
- Serviced trans with Redline oil
- Serviced TB (removed all sensors and cleaned with SeaFoam Deep Creep)
- Fuel system cleaned with BG 44K
- new OE rear leafs (HD with 7" arch)
- new OE front HD coil springs
- new Tokico Trekmaster shocks all around
- new Ironman poly engine mounts
- new radiator
- Magnaflow HiFlo cat (direct fit)
- cat-back Flowmaster 2.5" exhaust (super 44)
- new Moog front end parts - ALL of them!!! (TRE's, BJ's, tie rods, bushings)
- upgraded ZJ tie rod mod (solid ZJ bar vs hollow stock tube)
- new Energy Suspension poly sway bar bushings
- new genuine K&N cone filter
- H4 converted headlamps
- amplifier wiring installed
- Sony CD/USB/MP3 radio
- Infinity Kappa 5.25" speakers all around
That covers the upgrades. I've also fixed various wear and tear items like the center console storage latch, misc dash bulbs that burnt out over time, missing red sport trim from doors, steam cleaned interior, detailed exterior, etc.
This is basically a hop in and drive vehicle. I've addressed all the issues and made it a solid, reliable driver again.
As for price, between what I paid for the Jeep and what I spend in maintenance and little repairs, I have roughly $7500 into it, with $1800 being spent as recent as March on the linkages and $675 on the clutch last week. I'm not looking to make money on this, but I am also not going to give the Jeep away. Finding a clean XJ with manual trans is no easy task....I looked for a LONG time before spotting this one.
That said, I'll set the asking price at $5300. I know it may seem high to some, but given how much has been replaced so soon, its a vehicle that should be headache free for a good while.
Current pics will be posted asap. Been having a hard time finding a few minutes to clean the jeep and snap some pics. I promise to post them asap.
Thanks!
