I'm very interested in this swap. I've been "researching" it and seeing what's available locally from the JY or used part yards, to see what they're selling the intakes for around here (Seattle).

I thought that I had read that you had to grind off part of the intake manifold where the p/s pump attaches - along with using the TJ bracket. So, help me out here. Do the intakes need to be ground down some to accomodate the p/s pump? Still need to use the TJ bracket? Have you already done the grinding if it's required.

I've got a '93 Sport with the 4.0 HO. Thanks for your help in answering the questions.

For 97 No Direct Bolt on...you don't even need the p/s Bracket.

the 4.0 in general will benefit from this mod. However what i am not sure about is the PS setup on that TJ i would assume the pump to be the same but im not sure about the bracket.

not sure about tj but in my experience a 4.0 intake manifold from 2000xj was exact same as one from 2000 wj
