Default 78/79 Ford f250 Axles D44 and D60

3/4 Ton Ford leaf sprung axles. 4.10 gears. Front is a HD Hp44, it has dual piston calipers, drivers drop, It has lockouts and 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern, with disc brakes. Flat top knuckles. The rear is a D60 with 4.10's. 30 spline. I have taken off the drums and started setting it up for disc brakes. I have the brackets, calipers, rotors, stainless brake lines, pads, and some other stuff. The rear is missing the hub bearings. I I will try to get pics soon. These would be a great upgrade for a jeep, or mud truck. $550 In St Louis, Mo

This is rated as the best d44 made folks... I just bought one fully built for my xj and selling a 76 myself now that I got this other one... 76-79 are great axles... 78-79 are the most wanted... forget why 78-79 are preferred but someone should grab them!

there all high pinion... from 76-79... 78 and 79 has cast wedges for the radius arms... 76-77 were weld on so you can cut them off and run whatever... 78-79 its better to have the radius arms and fabricate them into DOM on the other end... unless your cutting them down... 1/2in thick tube from what ive read is found from 76-79... any of them...

Cast wedges have 1/4" tubes and the tubes don't run thru the wedges. The 250 with leaves are by far the easies as far as fab and the housing is stronger than the 1/2 ton versions.
