Well here goes,

I have a 1962 Buick Skylark, that is a white elephant for me. I've been trying to unload it on cl but no one is biting and I seriously was just gonna buy another XJ after I sold it, hence why I'm putting it up here on CF. Lemme know if I'm outta line for posting.

I'm asking for $2500 or trade for an XJ

The Deets:
*1962 Buick Skylark in Lancaster, CA - SoCal High Desert

*116,000 ORIGINAL miles

*Motor, Tranny, Body all numbers matching

*2 speed column shifter hydromatic transmission - works great

*4bbl 215 V8 w/ Flowmaster 40s

*Steering is perfect and buttery, starter cranks hard, seams on seats are wearing. Its been a desert car all its life so there is ZERO RUST.

*Paint is acrylic and faded but some light mineral oil rub downs will bring it back to life.

*3 owners. Originally sold in Taft by Ed Fant Buicks (even has the steel dealer license plate frame).

*Bumble Bee plates (black face, yellow lettering)

*This has EVERYTHING, minimal restoration. All the badges, panels, AM radio, hubcaps, etc are all intact. Nothing needs to be hunted for. Even has a OEM gauge cluster for oil pressure, battery, and engine temp.

*Was a daily driver, gets about 22 MPG. Seriously way fun to drive.

Now for the negs:

*Blown head gasket

*Fuel gauge only works in the winter(?)

*4 months back registration

I wish I could get it going myself but lack of know-how, wherewithal and cash flow have held me back.
