Its a bigger manifold than the older style. Double the flow to be exact. So you get more hp and torque from it....mplus it also looks better that the old "log" style manifold.

89 should be a renix...so no. you would have to swap the head or use a adapter to make it work....

if its going on your 95 you will need the newer style PS bracket to make it work. I have the bracket for you....

If im not mistaken The 99' intake is the same as this one. I could be wrong but when ever i hear people doing the intake swap they refer to it as "the 99' and up intake swap"
Mines a 99' and it looks pretty much the same.

I don`t know about this. I believe it wasnt untill 96 they changed the PS pump itself along with the newer bracket. I have a 94 and upgraded to the 99+ intake manifold and just grabbed the PS bracket because I was told I would need that as well but I could find no combination of the new intake and old PS pump that would work with either the old or new PS bracket.

not sure what your issue was but all of the jeeps with the newer brackets i see are 97+
