Actually, you have that backwards. The fronts are shorter due to articulation differences. Specs below:
Front - ZON7965 Nitro- 24.66/14.79 - 2-3/8 dia - S1/BP7
Rear - ZON7974 Nitro- 25.95/15.42 - 2in dia - BP18/EB1
I can get the PBEs but I don't feel they are necessary in your case. You can do a combo PBE and shock relocation for a great setup. I do not accept PayPal. The fees associated with it and the time/amount restrictions for me are to great.
Have a great day!

It says 84-01 XJ Front 4.5 inch #7965
It says 84-01 XJ Rear 4 Inch #7964
So how is the front shorter if it's for a bigger lift?
And also, why is the 3 inch shock the same part number as the 4.5 inch shock? Is that a typo or do they offer the same shocks for both lifts? Thanks.

Ok, maybe you could help me out. Am I looking at the wrong shocks or something? I checked Zones application chart. http://zoneoffroad.com/catalog/catalog-shocks.pdf
It says 84-01 XJ Front 4.5 inch #7965
It says 84-01 XJ Rear 4 Inch #7964 actually #7974
So how is the front shorter if it's for a bigger lift? there is less travel
And also, why is the 3 inch shock the same part number as the 4.5 inch shock? Is that a typo or do they offer the same shocks for both lifts? Thanks. Same front shock for both lifts. Similar to the Bilstein shocks for many models (less manufacturing costs for a larger target market per shock).

From the kit break down guide:
Kit # J8N Chrysler 8.25 Rear
Kit # J9N Dana 35 Rear
(2) 7965 Front Nitro Shock
(2) 7974 Rear Nitro Shock
from the parts spec dealer sheet:
ZON7965 Nitro- 24.66/14.79 - 2-3/8 dia - S1/BP7 total travel 9.87"
ZON7974 Nitro- 25.95/15.42 - 2in dia - BP18/EB1 total travel 10.53"
Now, if you were to go with the shock relocation brackets and the BPE kit, you would have to get a 3" shorter shock overall. Unless you went to a 2" shackle, then only 2" shorter.
Let me know if this did not answer your questions.
Namaste,
Allen
