These are the same as Harbor freight Chicago Electic ,And Mile Marker they work well ...You can expect a slightly slower line speed with these compared to Warn winches in the 10,000lb and under because Warn uses a 156:1 gear ratio on their under 10k winches and these use 210:1 ,so they will be a little slower but not much...if you buy a Warn winch over 10k lb it will be same speed or slower since Warn uses as deep as 315:1 to get the gear ratio deep enough to pull 15k on the big ones ...If you're looking for a winch that works well and don't have $1200 these are great,And while I have not used the Rough Country label I have seen the Chicago Electric /MileMarker used which is the same winch ,and they do the job ...really just as well as $1200 .

We have installed two of these already for local customers. The fact that they come with a wireless remote is a great selling factor on top of the price. With these things you get more for less. Meaning more pull and more options. The only complaint I have, or that customers have, is that it is a little loud. But that is so minor I wouldn't even give it a second thought. The next XJ I build WILL have one of these on there. No doubt about it. Great work Rough Country! Keep it up!

I did not buy a winch from RC, but I just ordered from Jason today and he was great to work with! Helped me out with a few tech questions easily over the phone and I feel great about my soon to arrive order. Thanks again Jason!

My only ***** about it is that the wireless remote is pretty laggy. But what do you do? It is wireless, can't expect much out of it any way.
Is this a logan's metal bumper or something else? I really like the way it looks
