Yes, however you will need to extend the throw of the shifter and cut down the threaded rod roughly an inch. I can ship you the additional hardware for $12 if needed. You can paypal me at: Boostwerks@hotmail.com.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if the 231 + manual trans kit will fit with a 1" to case drop?

I have a 98 XJ, AX15 + 231 with a 1" transfer case drop and the stock linkage is trashed.

He said earlier in the thread that you'd need the 242 kit with the 1" case drop.

There is enough adjustment in the manual kit to work with a 1" drop. We've had a bunch of good feedback with that combo.

That is no longer the case as we now have a specific manual shift kit.

I had a 1" drop and when I put in the SYE and took out the 1" drop, my linkage must have been stretched out and loose. I was having problems with the TC wanting to pop out of 4Low when going downhill.

I purchased the Boostwerks kit for a manual transmission. It took a little trial and error to get it all lined up correctly. But it has been working like a charm since. Shifting the TC is solid and I have had no problems with it wanting to jump out of gear.

I recommend this to everyone.

FINALLY bolted up my linkage kit for my 5-speed XJ.

Works great! Shifts a lot firmer. Will buy again.
