If you need to haul a few pieces of plywood home, they'll fit inside the rack once you move the tire, but if a spare tire mount was there, it'd be right in your way. If you only want a roof rack to haul your spare, I've got less expensive options for you that can accomodate that! I'd like to give you the absolute best bang for your buck - if you're going to spend your money on a Trail Rack, I want it to do anything you ask it to do.
yeah thats all good but when I want to haul plywood I use a pickup truck. when I want a roof rack I want a gas can, a water can, a hi-hift, tool box, shovel, and a spare tire. if youve got anything like that id take a look at it

Fair enough! Ha ha!

I'm wrapping up an expedition-type rack currently as a custom build that has all of what you mentioned, except the fixed spare tire mount. I don't get a lot of interest in a fixed spare tire mount, but I can very likely work on an improved version to meet your needs if it's a make-or-break option.

Stay tuned for some pics on the Expedition Rack.

I was under the gun to get it in the crate and on the truck, so I didn't get many pics. I'll see if the owner has any pics he can share.

I sent you a msg on facebook a couple weeks ago about a custom rack based off of this design. Was just wondering if you ever got the msg or not.

I don't recall seeing it, I'll go look now.

Summertime is a rough for B. Lee's Offroad. My real job gets insanely busy March-October, and with all the other irons in the fire, this is the first hobby to be shelved. Yes, it is a hobby, not my full-time gig.

We'll be back in high gear this fall, with production back up and running. Start saving your change for your new rack now!

Hey! Still love these roof racks and thinking maybe this Fall might buy myself a present with my 5 year anniversary at work bonus...are you planning to make any accessories? Apologize if I just missed it but I'm wondering about ability to add things like jerry cans, hi-lift, side mounted awnings and all that kind of ****.

Would also love to see even just plans of this Expedition Style rack you built. Maybe I'll send you a PM!

ADK.
Fall is usually the best time to order, brians day job slows down..and more racks can be made..

As far as teh expedition rack. Just as a general idea.. It was a MASSIVE rack, would cover the ENTIRE roof, a bit taller than most racks, a large light guard up front to accommodate some massive IPF lights..it was pretty awesome.

The trail rack is pretty impressive itself though...not many racks I truly care for..but this is one of them

For a trail rack, or an expedition rack?
