So i got a build sheet for my '97 Cherokee, and i'm checking it out.

This thing's got a LOT of good stuff, but one "delete" option.

Rear swaybar delete option, code s8hp.

Not to sound stupid, but why in hades would you want to delete the rear swaybar? ?

I know it's good to disconect them when offroad, but this just sounds goofy to delete it altogether?

Anyone else have any weird delete options?

 

Well that was an option for the Upcountry packages..gives a better offroad ability and realistically the rear sway bar does little to help the suspension..

 

rear swaybars are pointless in my eyes. fronts are a must though.

 

Is this possible why my cherokee jumps around when hitting bumps?

Probably needs a good set of shocks.

 

took out the rear sway bar as my first mod. noticed virtually no difference in handling. front sway bar is a different story.
