dakota/s10 lift springs modified for XJ?
ive read everything there is to read about the dakota and s10 bastard packs... my question is if i can find a dakota or s10 LIFT leaf pack used cheap would i still be able to cut the eye lets off and stick it under the main leaf of my XJ and get even more lift? im just wondering cause i havent seen anyone else do this or ask this yet... thanks for the time and info!

I like this idea.
I know that you have to cut the eyelets off to make the pack, but could you make just the springs work or are the eyelets incompatable?

As long as the leaves are the proper width, the center pin lines up, and the leaf pack is of similar length, I would think any lift style leaf pack would work. Just depends on what kind of ride/ comfort level you desire.

buy a leaf pack for a s10 or dakota lift... say 4.5in lift... then cut the main leafs eye lets off and bolt them to the XJ main leaf and stick them under a XJ... if stock s10/dakota springs would give it say 4 in of lift then a 4.5 lift spring for a s10/dakota would give you like 8.5in of lift... dang thats alot... i dont want that much but maybe somebody does... lol... on my local craigslist i got a guy selling 8in lift springs for a cherokee for 50 bucks... maybe i should? lol...

yeah see makes sence... grand cherokee lift springs should be the same... i found a 4in lift leaf springs on ebay for $200... free shipping to! but cant find crap for a s10 for somet reason... i also look alot for TJ lift springs cause they are the same as a ZJ so figured they would work well in a XJ too...
