Now what I need to get, a 1988 4.0 flywheel, the little spring that goes on the throttle body where auto trans lockdown cable normally connect to.
I think I have an ax15 crossmember upstairs in the garage attic or I prob end up making my own.
Oh yea I need to find a np242 to shove behind the ax15.

No, I don't lick fish.
So today I went and picked up a 4wd external slave ax15, clutch/brake pedals, master to slave cylinders, steering column out of a 94 XJ and the dude gave me a renix full gauge cluster.
Also got a 94 aw4 because he was tired of tripping over it.

So between the jeeps I own and stuff I have laying on the floor, that comes to 3 dana 44's, one dana 60, one ****ty 8.25, 3 transfer cases, 5 transmissions, and 4 engine blocks. Somehow I feel that is not enough. Lol

So today I put on a starter I acquired from the part-out yesterday on the second MJ, poured gas in the tank, and hooked the jumper cables up to the battery clamps. The other end went to the battery on the other MJ. After some slow cranking and bunch of starting fluid, it finally came back to life.
Smoked little blue. Prob from oil that was sitting. I ll keep it running and see if it stop bluing up the exhaust. Just need more gas.
Next thing on the list is to test the compression before I pull the drivetrain out.
That MJ got only 129k miles on it.

Nah, if you're gonna chop it up I'd do something like a bench or something with it. Some \m/ METAL art \m/

So I was browsing Craigslist looking for a NP242. I saw one post; the seller had an AW4 with a NP242 attached to it. For $200. I emailed him and asked if he would sell the transfer case seperately, for $50. He was willing to do it. I also told him I ll give him $25 to deliver it to my house. So $75 later it's in my garage.
