2.5 idle issue
Hi guys, I got my hands on a 1986 XLS 2.5 TBI 4x4. When i bought it didnt start, it needed a fuel pump. I got it started but when it first starts it'll idle real low and spuder then if I give it some gas it'll come to life but idle a little high. To be honest Im no expect with these TBI injected vechicles.

How are the plugs, wires, cap and rotor?
Check to see if you have a loose intake manifold.

ok Thank you for the reply. Ill check the manifold tomorrow after work. Plugs and wires could be changed i was planning on changing those tomorrow as well. But do these have any type of fuel regulator? And if so where is it?

ok so update. I cleaned out the EGR valve and piping, cleaned out the throttle body (because it was disgusting) and put in a new O2 sensor (wires burnt) And VVROOM! good as new! Thanks for the replies.
