First Post:New 2016 Trailhawk-First Run w/ pics
Hi, First post here and thought I'd share a couple photos from my first time off road with my new 2016 Trailhawk (first Jeep). I wanted to see how and what all the 4x4 functions worked. I took it in water with a somewhat mushy bottom to a couple inches above the door bottom and desert like sand trail heavily rutted by rain and other 4x4's. As it turned out I only used the sport and sand/mud modes as either of them worked fine. Next time I will try the rear lock and others. It handled very well and hardly a slip of the wheels. The only limitations in this type of terrain would be the tires and ground clearance where it simply cannot straddle deep ruts caused by the big tired and lifted 4x4's but thats a no brainer. This first run was in a Central Florida swamp and nearby higher ground pine forest that has mostly fine sand. I'm a wildlife photographer and got the jeep to get into and more importantly, get out of tough terrain.
I was very happy with it. Not to sound Jeep challenged but what does KL mean?
Thanks

Beautiful pictures! Loved your write-up as well.
"KL" is the two-letter designation that Jeep assigns to its different models/styles.
Historically, since the Cherokee was introduced in 1974, there have been a few model styles: the SK, XJ, KJ, KK, and KL, all of which have their fans and loyal followers. I don't think the abbreviations really mean anything, but I could be wrong.
