Well not much has happened. The tow hooks aren't on yet, because of the clips that the bumper bolts go into. Mine are rusty and have cracked in a few places.
Anyone know where I can get more of the bumper bolt clips?

I found some at Ace hardware. I'm upgrading all my stuff right now from clips to washer and lock bolts. I'm using grade 10 for everything too.

You should be able to just remove the bumper and have total access to the brackets. That being said, I was able to kick mine off the mounts because of front end damage. I'm not exactly sure how to get it off normally. I imagine removing the header panel is the first step to take. I was able to remove the broken header panel, bumper, and replace the panel with complete new light housings in a full day.

As far as the doors, I would say check the bolts that mount the door to the hinge. Unless the door is bent... Anyone else have an idea?
Lol just go doorless lol

Loud? Welcome to the xj family lol I've asked this before and people say that's the way it is. My WJ is much MUCH quieter. As far as the doors, I would say check the bolts that mount the door to the hinge. Unless the door is bent... Anyone else have an idea? Lol just go doorless lol

Ok. So I'm not dead, and neither is the little XJ.
Good news though, ordered my 3 inch lift kit from rustys! It will get installed as soon as the snow is gone from here.
My little XJ is growing up!

My XJ has a Rusty's short arm lift. Its pretty nice, But I would like to have adjustable control arms and new rear leaf springs (the P.O. put lift shackles to bring it up an extra inch in the rear and I would rather the height be in the springs instead), but I have spent way to much money on my XJ in the past two months. Maybe I'll win the lotto?

Nothing major. But my heat works again. Flushed and back flushed cooling system and heater care 3 times. A ton of brown crap came out from the old engine.
