Default Howdy From Houston

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a newbie to the Jeeping community. Just recently purchased a 1996 Cherokee Classic. It had half of a 4" lift installed on it, and a transfer case with blown seals and bearings.

Since I purchased it last weekend, I have torn the TC out of it, found out that it had been run dry and the chain was really stretched and that the shift fork was really ground down. I purchased a master rebuild kit, chain, shift fork, and also found out that I needed an SYE kit with a new driveshaft on Cherokees with 4" lifts ... So, that's about where I am so far--Just waiting on the mailman!

Nice to meet y'all, hoping I can learn a lot!

these are the 31" Super Swamper TSL's. They looks pretty new - don't think they have seen much time on the road.

Thanks for the welcome! I have some rust issues to fix and some suspension problems to diagnose, but I am having a lot of fun so far!

HA! This jeep came down from the mountains (as the story goes...) it even has a factory block heater in it!

I guess it was someone's winter vehicle up in Colorado, the drivers floor pan and the rockers are suffering because of it!
