Hey ya'll

I got my jeep May of this year and I absolutely love it. It's a 97' I plan on getting new tires and a lift on it soon but i'm not exactly sure what kind of lift or tires i want yet. I'd listen to any recommendations you all have on either of those two things. Eventually i plan of putting a bull bar on it. But i just figured that i'd stop by and say hey since i'm new to the website.

Glad to have you Rebel. Welcome from Texas. Where are you from in Maryland? What kinda stuff you want to do with your XJ as that will help determine your lift needs.

Thanks. I'm from carroll county. Where in texas are you from, i had a friend move up here from down there. Well i plan to start off by going to greenridge's offroad trail and than go bigger with places such as rausch creek. Those are just two of the places that i have looked into so far and also been up to with friends.

I am almost into Mexico. Hidalgo county. I grew up in Maryland in the 60s and 70s in Prince Georges County. Haven't been back up there in many years so can't recommend any wheeling places. We had a big farm and I wheeled a CJ2A and tractors when I was there on the farm.

Yeah it's a lot better if you go up into PA. But where i live is one of the places that has a lot more farm land so it kinda works out. My neighbors have like 75 acres so i take my fourwheelers up there and other places and what not, but they wouldn't let me take my jeep on their property. What made you move to Texas if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah done a little bit up in Pa too as my buddy has a farm up there and 4WD was the only way to get around in the winter. It was near the beginning of the turnpike. Crystal Springs I think is the name of the closest town.
Moved to Texas to get away from harsh winters. Now I only see snow if I go visit my grandkids in N.C. in the winter months.

yeah the winters are never gonna change up here... but in a way there fun i'm pretty excited to take my jeep out in the winter. one of the reasons i love my jeep so much is the 4WD because the snow in my area is really bad a lot of times.
