My girlfriend has decided to sell her xj because she wants something that gets better gas mileage, and honestly im sick of working on jeeps.


We are located in Spotsylvania va, about a 2 minute drive off of i95 exit 118.


Asking 1500 including extras mentioned below.


1988 2 door jeep xj
4.0, auto, 4x4,
manual windows,
maroon interior,
no carpet or headliner (was going to bedliner floor but never got around to it).
3" rustys lift,
new rustys white body shocks.
cd player installed, sound bar with aftermarket speakers included but not installed.
the roof rack was removed and the holes sealed.
the xj was stock height when we got it, its seen some mud, but no rocks or real trails.
solid floors and rockers. some surface rust inside the hatch from the roof rack leaking, but no holes. I don't think any 28 year old vehicle can be called rust free, but this one is damned close.

The xj was daily driven until the engine started knocking. New (used) engine recently put in, but either the timing is off, or...?
its getting spark and fuel, but wont fire. WILL NEED TO BE TOWED.
all of my spare renix era-96 parts will be included since they're just in my way.
inspection is good until 3/16.
180k miles on body.

recently replaced:
-both axles are out of a 2001 xj with a little over 90k miles. front is a Dana 30 rear is a Chrysler 8.25, both have 3:55 gears.
-front calipers and pads
-aligned at rt1 firestone 4/22/15 ($85)
-the rear upper shock bolts broke, so they were drilled out and replaced.
-e brake cables
-starter
-alternator
-radiator
-upgraded to post renix cooling system
-water pump
-wipers


also included (not installed) with xj:
-home brew rear bumper with hitch
-spare door and 1/4 glass
-new window seals
-15x8" steel wagon wheel for spare
-spare c 8.25 rear
-gas tank skid plate
-high pinion dana 30 with 3:07 gears (or whatever came in 5 speed xjs. im tired.) I was planning on putting it back in after regearing to 4:56, but never had the funds.
-2 parts xjs. one is an 88 that is basically scrap, roof cut off, no axles, but has a decent rear bumper on it. And a 94 2wd, partially parted out, still has rear doors, hatch, axles, etc. no title for either parts jeep.
-I have more parts I cant think of at the moment, but everything I have thats pre 1996 goes with it.

the xj needs:
-track bar
-02 sensor. I accidently broke it removing the engine.
-tires. the 31s that are on it now are dry rotted, will clear 33x12.50 (shown in pictures).
-front driveshaft bolts (stole them to put on my old mj.)
-exhaust needs to be installed
-hood pins need to be rotated. there was a flaw in the slaw when they were installed, and one ended up crooked.
-got greedy on the rear cut and fold. it looks like crap, but its fixable if your patient. or leave it, if you 'just aint care'.



wheels and tires shown in pictures (33s) not included(unless you buy my 97 too), comes with 31s on stock steel wheels.
clean title in hand.
asking $1500 for everything.
She wants to get an eclipse, so if anyone has a 95-99 eclipse gst or gsx (or talon tsi) 5 speed that needs some work (or perfect, lol) that they would like to trade, shoot me an email.

yes, but 2 are for parts, no titles. one of which is basically ready to go to the scrap yard after the home brew rear bumper is pulled off. the other is a 2wd with no engine or interior, also missing misc parts. if your interested, shoot me a text at 540 847 0607 and I can send you some pictures. west chester is about 3 and a half hours from me. if you have a trailer with a wench, there is a scrap yard about 10-15 minutes down the road from me. pull the parts you want, scrap the bodies, and you only have to make one trip
