Default new guy with lots of questions

i just bought a 89 jeep cherokee, and i got a couple questions.
i was wondering how big of a lift it has, its got 36 inch swampers and the fenders are cut. also it gets death wobbles at about 35mph, and theres no steering stabilizer ot sway bar, if i put a stabilizer on it would that make it not death wobble? this is a wheeler for sure, i just wanna make it to where i can sometimes drive a couple miles to where i need to go.

I'd guess maybe 6.5 or higher to fit 36's

It depends how much was cut off. I have a 3.5" lift and i have 31s. With a little trimming i can stuff 33s in there but if i cut alot i could probly get 36s so it really depends on how much was cut

can you post a picture when available, a lot of people on here are really good at telling the lift by looking.
also, steering stabilizers can sometimes mask the real culprits of death-wobble.

X2! would shake down your front end and look for loose/worn/bent components. Also having someone turn the wheel left to right in slight movements can show a loose/worn component easier then unloading and shacking...

thank you for the help on the death wobble, i appreciate it. and ill get pics on here asap. also another question, what do you guys with the 6.5'' to 8'' lift have set up in the rear end. cuz it seems like the guy i got this from just threw threw together the rear end lift. its got 4inch blocks and extended shackles, i was wondering if maybe i put some half ton leafs under it with a couple leafs taken that would be better than what its got.

I would read up on the bastard pack leafs. they will be the best option for low cost lift in the rear. can use xj main with s10/xj leafs to get 2-5" of lift from what i have read....

Ditch the blocks asap.

Nope it shouldn't at all. just make sure it is centered properly or it could limit the turning in on direction. (and its the right length)

32 " collapsed? or extended? If its bottomed out in the snow pick in the rear I would either get bar pin eliminators and new shocks in the rear. Or bring the shock mounts threw the floor and mount it to the cage int he back and get a shock that can really allow the rear end to use its full movement.
