Default JK Rock sliders

I am thinking about checking these out http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org...462389003.html to see if I can bolt them to my Cherokee. Is this going to be more trouble than its worth?

Save yourself the trouble and get some from JCROffroad.com. The ones made for the Cherokee are hard enough to install.

Hmm...You think it will be that much trouble to try to fit them? If I can it would save me some $$.

If you can weld, then try it out but I think the length of the Cherokee is different from the Wrangler. The JCR ones go one sale once in a while and you can get a really nice new set for the XJ for around the same price. Not sure if the coupon code still works, but when I got mine, I typed PIRATE in the code area and got 5% off. This was last year and haven't ordered anything else from them yet so I have yet to see if it still works. I have their stage 3 sliders and they're friggin awesome.

Length of the Cherokee IS different from those. You'll be a little short in coverage but if you're willing to put in a little work to relocate and extend them it might be worth it. However, I always recommend built in 2x6 sliders.

Yeah I thought the 4dr JK was a little longer. I was drooling over those stage 3 JCR's, they look amazing on your XJ! I am going to have to check around and check the vendor list on here. Thanks for your input!

Yeah but by then I would have been better off making my own, I thought about angle iron but I might just buy from a merchant instead, I like the stage 3 JCR's that Lyon brought to my attention.

Thanks man and you're welcome. I hope you find exactly what you're looking for. I have pics of them raw, painted and test fitted if you want some better pics of them.

if your tryin t save money and can fabricate i would look into Trail gear sliders. they are cheapa nd build well from what i have seen. the legs aren't welded so you can set the sngle to clear the doors. the cherokee is about 60" long on the pinch weld. the sliders are 58" which makes them fit nicely... and they are only 135$ NEW on ebay.... just food for thought....
