These also might help the next time you're "running hot".

No, I'm sure he gets the point with that polite explanation.

Never meant to imply that but if you read my posts you have saw I said many times mine is not a DD and have never had an overheating issue period.
I had no experience with XJ's in general I just read a lot here and NAXJA for over 3 years. I only ask questions when someone hasn't answered something I don't understand, can't find with a search or need advice on. BTW I have always received it from the most knowledgeable here and never forgot it as I still have things that I need help on.
Sometimes your posts can bring some rather harsh responses as well.

Before I sanded them down to fit against the body better, I could litterally stick for fingers through the gaps on them. They do not seat up against the body well by any stretch of the imagination. I am far from impressed by the fitment.. The quality seems great! Customer service is good. But I think some more time should have been spent on the fitment.
I am going to have to fiberglass them to the body to make them look 100% like they belong there.

Where we go not uncommon to use the winch at the least 4 or 5 times a trip in the 50 mi. run on one trail in 2 states. Then at other times in the same National Forest depends on how much rain has washed out even more trails. At times use it as much as a chainsaw just getting through everything. My wife and I wheel alone most all the time during the week on marked (Impassable Forest Service Roads" not "Closed" just nothing done to them in over 6 yrs. so most all washed away.
Where we take off from depending on trails used we can up in 3 different states before hitting a traveled road of any kind. The big plus we can hunt these areas also now mostly for Hogs but lots of Turkey, Deer, Bear, Coyote's, Bobcat and all kind of small game. We are lucky to have these areas to hunt my wife and I.
Here is a photo on one of those trails a 100 yrds. ahead of us here is a very deep washed out creek 8 ft. can drive in but have to winch out to steep. Second one is up about 1000' higher than the first.

Down here in Florida I am stuck with clay pits, moderate trails, sand, and mud. I wheel on Eglin Air Force Base primarily.
Most of the time when I am wheeling I am with one or more other people. And it is simply easier to hook up the kinetic rope to the back and ****** each other out. When I go by myself I am much more careful. I have used my winch several times! But not for getting unstuck myself.. ha
Comes in handy to stretch across a pond and create a rope swing!

But this bumper just called to me when I saw it! I absolutely love it! And now with my modifications to tuck it in, it sits so far back it is literally about half an inch further out than the stock bumper caps!

JMHO but I don't think that fiber glassing the bumper to the body if that is what you meant would be a very good idea. I doubt that it would keep from cracking or just breaking out in chunks because of what it is, Second thing is how would remove the bumper/winch for service or repair.
Sorry if I misunderstood your post if I'm wrong.

I have never been a hoop person either... I do not like the big hoops that reach up above the hood and out an extra two feet.. But this bumper just called to me when I saw it! I absolutely love it! That same day we had stopped to fix lunch had a fire and was cooking when the wife and I spotted a hog about 75 yrds. away must have smelled the meat cooking (Hot Dogs :>) and my wife shot him with her .308. We did bring home meat that day for the smoker (shoulders and hams). They are considered a pest because of all the ground they tear up in the forest and no problems with shooting them.
