Current XJ long arm options
I'm looking to buy a long arm kit within a month so I am looking for input from people who have installed these kits below. I've searched for reviews but only get reviews from a few years ago. Is Rusty's a good kit for the price? I'm thinking of getting the clayton's but if the rusty's kit works I could save around $300 which could pay for a new driveshaft. The reviews I have seen seem to be anti Rusty's so I am hesitant to buy the kit. I live in the Southern GA and we mostly have mud and trails very few rocks, I'll be doing 80% dirt trails maybe 10% rocks and 10% sand. I'm not afraid to spend money and buy the right kit the first time but is there a certain point where you have diminishing return and are just paying for a name?
I am hesitant to buy kits with heims and prefer kits with actual rebuildable joints/clevite although I do not too much about heims.

If you do not already have them, frame stiffeners should be on your list.
Of the kits you have picked I would say Clayton or Tnt. I like how the center section of the Clayton kit is removable without doing something the the arms. Definitely recommended to also weld the frame mounts of the clayton kit to the stiffeners/frame rails.
Some say that the Tnt long arm kit is the best Y-link setup available.
Not sure how much it is, but consider the Synergy suspension kit.

I'm planning to do the tnt long arm upgrade with a mixed bag of springs and other parts. I decided on that kit because it adds a flat belly pan as well.

the tnt kit has the best skid plate you can get, the long radius arms arm top quality too. i have the tnt skid on my 98 now . i will add the 3 link long arms in the fall, i would advise you do frame stiffeners w/ this kit or any of the kits for that matter. do it once do it right.

I like that about the tnt kit but I'm probably not going to be doing any rock climbing so it's not a priority for me. The priority for me is longevity of the kit and reliability, I don't want to have to rebuild joints every few months.

I ordered the RS stiffeners since I like the reviews I found online and Labor day sale they were having convinced me....I am sure my UPS guy hates he had to delivers 5 tires and 5 wheels this week.
No to see about those long arms...I need reviews from people who have some installed.
Thanks for the help

I have the older style TnT arms and I absolutely love them. Super high clearance arms and belly pan. Great customer service. The only complaint I have is the solid belly pan but the newer kits have the arms split off the middle of the crossmember.
