Reminds me of they guy who sold me a racing helmet.. "So...ya want the $50 protection or $500 protection. ..it's your life, I mean decision"

thing about helmets is they have to meet a specification, so the $50 helmet should protect you as good as the $500 helmet. the $500 helmet will be lighter made from better material, and have better ventilation, all leading to more comfort.

I use to free ride mountain bike and race downhill, I have a $200 full face bicycle helmet and a $600 carbon full face helmet from the same company. The carbon one weighs about as much as a regular bicycle helmet and feels air when you wear it.

Kinda the same principle in racing helmets. Sold ya on comfort as a a safety factor with concentration. Meh, made my wife more comfortable anyways. .guess that's the most important safety rule lol

There are different helmet standards, based on entirely different tests. There is a lot of debate as to which standard is best in practice, but that is sometimes part of the price you pay. Generally, though, the big price factor is comfort, as stated above

How the hell did we go from trackbars to racing helmets? Cmon guys, start a new thread if you want to bicker. Lets get back on topic. Anyone running longer wheel studs? Ive been considering spacers, am curious what the minimum safe spacer is.

0" is the safest spacer. You don't run longer studs to put spacers on. The spacers have studs in them.

I think if you run rustys products you should invest in a good roll cage, 5 point harnesses and a racing helmet.

I've owned 2 different rustys offroad parts. Both failed within a month or so. Rusty passed the blame to me since I installed it. Then when I sent picture of the failures he claimed it was a problem with his metal from his supplier. Rustys lift on my 95 YJ had it on for 3 weeks first trip out 2 main leafs snapped And I was running a easy trail. That's the one he blamed on his manufacturer. , then he claimed I overtorqued the center pin on install which I never touched , After he tried to get around the warranty 2xtimes he clamied I was competing in a competition since Rausch had a neuroc comp that weekend. I did get the warranty replacements 6 months down the road. But by then I was on RE springs.

My TJ. The tierod bung wallowed out it was on the jeep for 1 month. Never wheeled with that tierod. But you could see it was oval he said the bar isn't bent I won't replace it.

In my eyes he's a shady crook. And the only reason he's in business still is people see his parts used on tv.

I was making a point. Of course I don't believe that. What I do believe is that the Jeep crash hard enough to rip the center out of a wheel so it's completely understandable that many other thing could have been broken at the same time. Like the trackbar. Again, people crash a thousand different ways every day and for a thousand different reasons. We can't just pick one we like for the fun of it.

Also, I met a guy at the junk yard looking for a frame-sde trackbar mount because his broke on the freeway. He didn't crash and drove (slowly) home without a trackbar.

I've broken two but was able to drive home. I think it's mainly due to I had Poly bushings in upper and lower arms. But was still a little scary.

White body shocks are white body shocks. You pay for the sticker on them

They are doeshtec shocks. Which are made by Tenneco under a private label. So basically Monroe/rancho aka white body junk with one size fits all valving unlike bilstein , fox, king with application specific valving.

Well that what rusty was sending when I bought a lift that failed years ago.
